Panthers need a GM ! should have ask me!

You need to listen how to fix your team, because what you have been doing is not working.
First of you need to redo Gross contract, he is past 30 years of age and takes a huge cap hit. Secondly you need to TRADE SOME OF YOUR PLAYERS. Notice how its capatilized, well thats because no one trades any more. I know you will take some small cap hits on tradeing players with there contracts, but just look at it as if you signed another player. For example we all know D-will has to go well trade him for a 3rd round pick, since we dont have one anyways. I would like a 2nd but thats not likly, and the cap hit will be small amount trading him. There is Beason aswell and you could get a 1st or 2nd for him easly wih his age. We good at LB without him and he will cost a arm and leg to keep him. Please trade him, because he came into the league money hungry. Wait a minute I would also trade Gamble aswell for atleast a 2nd or 3rd. He is getting up there in age and we need to do like the PATS and get something for these vets before they leave. YOU ;Mr. RICHERSON should have learned that from the Peppers thing. If you get rid of those 3 and redo Gross contract you should be fine next year. You may have enough to get a free agent out there, but if you dont your set for next season with cap flexability and a good young core.

NOW what would I do with signing 1 free agent and those draft picks. This all depends on the weak spots on the team which are in order O-line,FS,DT,WR,CB. Well if you can muster enough money to sign Bowe this would give us a power house vertical threat for a few years untill Smith retires and could take over for him aswell. With the first pick I would pick a good DT witch are plentyful this year in the draft. The D-line would be set then and the only thing lacking on the D would be a FS and CB depth behing the Captain and Norman. Oh yeah we made a trade and we now have 2 2nd round picks. These picks are easy you pick a O-lineman and a FS. The only thing lacking on this team now are a backup LB,HB,CB,G, and you have 2 3rd's a 4rth,5th and 6th rounds to use on backups. O yeah spend some dam money on a good kicker. So come on Jerry and hire me Jay Morgan to take you to the promise land, you dont have that much more time and you need some body that is creative, thats me for sure.espn.com

panthers prediction

charlotteobserver.com

I hope people remember what happen last year when the saints ran the score up on us and expected to like because they were records. Let me me tell you something AINT'S we have a record tooits called a win and lose record. If we can get the O-line to lay down a block and let Cam throw down feild we will have shot at winning. I think th saints are unorganized without there coach, and if they let a rookie QB come in throw all over them , then i like our chances. I think Cam is way better than RG3 and he should be compaired to Vick. Cam is a 6-5... 245 l/b linebacker that plays QB and thats a huge diferance. The D seems to be intact while having a good preseason and only allowing 16 points, Plus the fact that they got Beason, Johnson,Johnson back and a good draft. If the panthers can allow the saints to score 24 points or less they will win this game. I look for Cam to have plenty of time to throw the ball so he can look DOWN FEILD. Plus if we get some rushing gonig on it will open things up.....

panthers report!

You heard it from the bird first! If the panthers make the playoff's they will win it all next year. They have one of the hardest roads ahead of them with a tough NFC south to go threw aswell. They have all the tools on the O-side including a vet QB a powerful running game and a great O-line. O yeah they also have the best WR in the game, I dont care what anyone's say's. The only missing piece last year was the D-side. I will admit they have a good secondary with Godfry,Harris,Gamble,Marshell witch are all hard hitters. They are all solid and I think with there LB's it should be hard to pass on the panthers. The have the best young ILB with Beason and OLB Davis to sure up the linebacking core. They still have diggs and Conner so the only weak link is the D-side in my eyes and on paper is the D-line. We do have some good things to talk about because the D-line was good in the first part of the season against the run they just did not have the endurance at the end to produce. They needed some depth and they used the first 3 picks picks in the draft on the D-side. The sole reason our pass D sucked was because we could not rush the QB and the sole reason our run D sucked was the lack of depth. I think Brown our first pick will be a dam good pass rusher and Johnson witch had 6 sacks last year will be on the other side of brown. I really dont think Peppers will be on our team next year, but if he is then our D-line should be pretty good. Lewis had 6 sacks last year aswell, his only problems was old age and he works better with some one else rotating in with him. Kemo is dam good against the run, but like Lewis needs to be rotated and both need to stay healthy. I like Brayton,Johnson,Brown all being productive next year. I think we will be better as a team this year, because we have a new D coach this year with Meeks and he brings the Tampa cover 2 type of D with him. He also said he will play a D stlye that fits the players we have. We have very fast under sized players, so a cover 2 is a perfect fit. I still think we will be good team next year, but our record will not show it. I predict 9-7 ,8-8 record and if that record lets them in the playoff's with the power running game they have I think they could go all the way. O yeah D-will was robbed of the MVP vote last year. He was only a few rushing yards shy of AP he had way more TD's along with a better rushing AVG, plus the fact he took his team to the play off's last year and last but not least he did not fumble any last year. however this will be another topic for some other post.

The Big one!

100 pound black drum! I was close to the world record for black drum by 10 pounds. I cought this puppy on a spinning rod at that! The cooler is 49 inch's wide so you can see how long the drum was. I think it was in the 60 inch range, so I have been told. I cought the piece in Virgina under the bridge tunnel. My cuz cought one a tad bit smaller than this one and my whole family witch has to be one of the smartest fisherman family I know caught 5 citation size fish(cobie,2 Strip bass, 2 black drum). All of them are a 10 out of 10 on the fisherman chart. They can catch fish when no one else can and really have people waiting in line so they can fish with them. Sam my dad,Scott,Dennis,David Morgan are well known in this region and can catch, shephead, cobia, red, black drum, stripers like no one else can. I go a tad bit with them, but I am no die hard either. I love to go though, because when I go with them I usally catch the big one and I always have a good time. Had to show this big daddy for which it did get a citation and we got 5 citation this weekend for the whole family. This was a very old black drum and were I come from (wilmington,NC) this fish get around 5-10 pounds, so this catch was a big catch if you know what I mean.

D is for dummy or D is for D- fence?

I will concentrate this post on the D-side for the panthers and write my next post for the O-side. We all know Fox loves to have a good fast D. Well for the last few years its been okay at best and we have had alot of holes to fill aswell. We sure did get a steal from trading a 5th round pick for Harris(SS) last year from the bears. Harris had 8 fumbles recoveries and was rated 4th in the NFC out of all the safties in sporting news magizine. We really needed that because we got beat by the long ball for the last few seasons and the lack of Mike Minter gone really hurt our team. We drafted Charles Godfrey to play FS this year and start besides Harris and if Godfrey pans out we will be a very tough team to pass deep on. http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=8&c=1&nid=3067699&yr=2008Our secondary is allready a stop the run first type of team but we drafted Godfrey in the 3rd and he is a playmaker that can roam the feild and make plays. We allready have 3 dam good CB's in Lucas,Gamble,Marshall ready to kick azz and all of them have good coverage skills and are can have a high INT year when the play up to par. If Godfrey dont pan out then we already signed T. Holt to play FS and he had 70 plus tackles last year for the Cards, but as of today Godfrey will start and Holt will back him up and give us much needed depth in the secondary.

Lets move on to the LB core which a few seasons ago was bad and Morgan was in and out for the panthers while being hurt most of his carear . Well Morgan is gone and retired and Jon Beason was our first pick last year and had over 150 tackles and started at the ILB spot in his first season. T. Davis holds down the SOLB spot and he was our first round pick in 2005 and is very fast and verstile and should start. We still have Diggs which is very good at the run support, but we signed a dam good freeagent this year named London Johnson from the Bengals. http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=8&c=1&nid=3271723&yr=2008This guy is very fast and lead the Bengals in tackles 3 out of 4 years. We drafted Dan Cooner out of Penn state with the 3rd pick and he was a first round talent guy that we could not pass on. We were already deep at the LB spot but with him backing up the ILB spot we will be really deep and really good at thge LB spot this year. I would rank our LB's A+ and our secondary a B+ so far. Here comes the weakest part of our whole football team and the most important the D-line. We just lost Rucker, but we picked up Tyler Brayton of the Raider's. He was a first round pick that never panned out. They call him nut cracker and here is why he hit Moss in the nuts one time for taking plays off. He is however a blue collar work horse and should be a tad bit better with Peppers on the other side of him. We also moved Peppers to the right side so we could have more of a pass rush which we were dead last in sacks last year. We still have Mclover and Charles Johnson backing those two up and both are unproven with some upside. Johnson is still unproven, but was a first round talent taken in the 3rd round last year that has not seen alot of playing time, but at the least adds depth. We lost Jenkins this year, but so what, he was fat and a self first guy anyways. We still have another fat guy in Kemo a run stuffer type and D. Lewis which had 5 sacks last year and was a first round pick which will be starting. We picked up Ian Scott and Darwin Walker which both are not that bad and both have played on playoff teams.http://profootball.scout.com/a.z? Is=127&p=9&c=12&yr=2008&nid=83&lnid=83&rc=16&pid=22 Walker played with those big and nasty eagles and Scott is still young and has alot of upside and I would rate both of them 3 stars out of 5. Overall I would rate the D-line maybe a D+ or maybe a C- with hopes of being a B- at best. For the overall grade for the D this year it should be a B. http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=charlotte2&page=nfl/teams/089/sched.aspx?id=089 (schedule for next season)

Panthers guess picks!

The draft is near and its time for cheer and maybe a beer! I think the panthers will take Ryan Clady(OT) or Derrick Harvey(DE) with the first pick. You can not go wrong with either pick and if they go OT and Clady is gone Jeff Otah should be the pick.

1.Ryan Clady(OT) This should bolster their new revamped line. He could start at LT and that would leave Gross at RT. Last year they picked up 1st round talent Ryan Kaili (C) and they moved Wharton to left Guard were he played on the superbowl team. They also picked up 3 big time 300 plus guards to give the line depth.Vencent,Brown,Faloi were the names of those guards and all are very big and nasty so the O-line should be revamped and ready for a good running game this year. http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=9&c=12&yr=2008&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&pid=3

2.Chris Johnson(HB) This is a 5 star recruit that can flat out fly. He ran 4.2 at the combine and wowed people and he is from ECU so he has state ties. Fox likes 2 backs to start and he should go with D-williams like bacon goes with pancakes. He also will help the S/T out and is a cant miss HB that could be had in the 2nd.http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?
s=127&p=9&c=12&yr=2008&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&pid=11
3.Pat Simms(DT) He is a very good DT with the draft being one of the best in NFL histry and is a steal in the 3rd round. He should give much needed depth to a dismal D-line that just lost Kris Jenkins.http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=9&c=12&yr=2008&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&pid=22
3.Chris Ellis(DE) Is a pass rushing fool and is very fast. He played for VT and was hell on wheels in the ACC this year. We just picked up Bryton from Oakland but we still need depth and he could push Johnson for the start at DE this year. http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=9&c=12&yr=2008&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&pid=23
4.Thomas Decoud(FS) This guy ran ran a 4.5 and he is projected in the 4th plus the fact we still need help at the FS spot. We just signed Terrance Holt from NC state and he may be able to do the job but I will beat you this guy will push for Holts job.http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=9&c=12&yr=2008&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&pid=33
5.Owen Schmitt(FB) Dude he is a bruiser that will crush your bones like Hulk Hogan crushes macho man bones while he is on steroids? Wait a minute he was on steroids all the time anyway.....brother! http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=9&c=12&yr=2008&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&pid=13
6. crap shoot
7.still shooten crap
7. :is the pick that you shoot crap on!
7. your just shitten and get it now!

I am a man of options so I need a back up mock!
1.D. Harvey (DE)http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=8&c=1&nid=3324662&yr=2008
2.Dre Moore(DT)http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=8&c=1&nid=3324662&yr=2008
3.Carl Nicks(OT)http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=8&c=1&nid=3047773&yr=2008
3.Matt Forte(HB)http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=8&c=1&nid=3100709&yr=2008
4.T. Decoud(FS)http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=8&c=1&nid=3225627&yr=2008
5.Martin Rucker(TE)http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=8&c=1&nid=3159658&yr=2008

Bobcats

Well the Bobcats got of to a quick 2-0 but fell short when the Suns destoryed teh Bobcats. The Bobcats are still 2-1, but here is the kicker they lost Felton for awhile. He started out very great and was on AVG pace for 20ppg. They have a great nuculos in Felton,Okafor,Wallace,J-Rich. The only piece they really need was a center. This team will be very good next year if they get big man. They need a backup PG,C and thats about it. If they can stay close 500% this year untill Felton gets back they could make a run at aplayoff spot, but with Felton I dont think it is likely. They Matt carroll as a backup SG and Dudly,Adam Bomb as backup SF. They also have Hollins,Davison,May to backup the front court. All we really need is a big guy that can rebound and swat balls. We have Okafor witch can do it all, he can score down low, swatballs and rebound. We have Wallace witch can score downlow, go the rack and slash and dash to the rim. He was also the only player in the league to AVG 2.0STL,2.0 BLK per game . He is a big time defender and the heart and sole of this run and gun young team. We have Felton which is one of the fastest players in the league and is a perfect fit to this uptempo style of play. He can score and dish the rock and is a very good PG. Our newest bobcat J-rich is our go to guy and is a cltuch scoring threat. He can AVG more 20ppg and with him and Wallace they should be a force to deal with. The only problem with this years team is Felton is hurt we have backup PG along with Adam M out, so out depth is very thin. Next year they will make the playoff's and that is the last word says the bird.

The Big Bird Board report

1. Pats Who are the 72 dolphins and why are thy the only unbeaten team in histry. They will go unbeaten this year if they get passed the colts.
2. Colts The battle of who will be the best QB will play out this sunday. I still think Manning is the best, but alot of people are thinking the other way. I think they both are great and will the top 2 in histry, Manning has one thing Brady does not, he calls his own plays at the line.
3. Dallas They will be in the NFC tittle game but they want win it all with Romo throwing 5 picks in one game.
4. Pitt They have a good QB and a good RB along with tough D and a good Coach. They should win their division.
5. Packers People were mad as hell when they did not draft players on the O side to help Farve out, but it is paying off big time this year. They drafted for D three straight years and look were they are. D wins alot of games in the NFL and they have it with the cold as hell home feild advanage.
6. Lions What a surprise pick and thats what you are saying, but they have a okay QB and great reciever's in Roy and Calvin. They also have a running aswell and with Rogers holding down the D line it will be hard to beat the lions as they have played well this season.
7. Tenn.. The 6th spot is were you thoght they would go , but I think the lions have more weapons and better D. They are good and the D is tough as nails, but Young needs a few more seasons to be the next Vick. He will be better than vick by far and they might win the tittle in a few years, not this one.
8. Giants. They have a great font four, and they will be tough to beat. They should give Dallas a run for there money the next time up. Eli is the best QB in the NFC and Shocky will help Manning out big time in his career.
9. Saints. I think they are better than Tampabay and have a easy road ahead of them. The are starting to gell and should win the NFC south. Both Tampa and Carolina have a very hard road ahead of them and if someone goes 9-7 or 10-6 that will win the NFC south.
10. Redskins Who in the hell should get the #10 spot I dont know. The Redskins have a blanket secondary with a a decent D. The O side they have all the weapons they did, such as Moss,Portis,Cooley and Cambell. They have a good coach and I dont know why they dont have a better record.

I want to put the panthers up there, but they dont deserve it. They have failed when there team, city and fans need them. They need to worry about next year, because they play Tenn,Dallas,Det,Tampa,NO,Jags,GB and every team that is leading there division. They could win the the NFC, but they are going to have to beat Tenn this weak and upset some more teams aswell. They need to get Smith some help and get a secondary,so other teams dont laugh at them. They have a good D line and great linebackers and corners. They need FS,SS,WR, and a QB that will play all year.

The Big Bird NFL report

1.Colts The colts are still the team to beat and they just crushed the saints witch is a great thing. The still have the best O game in football and untill knocked off they are the team to beat: 2008 record will be :14-2
2.Pats The have added more weapons than the U.S.S.R and they are for real. If they dont make the playoff's then I will be shocked, they should be in the big game at the end of the year. They have a great coach and great QB a alot of weapons and they have the most important thing in the NFL a good D. :2008 record will be:13-3
3.Chargers The Chargers are great allaround team and they will be good with Lt,old man Rivers,Gates and company. They are very fast on the D side aswell and they are the top 3 team in football. There is a few things that will hold them back alittle from being the best team in football untill proven otherwise. They are the fact that they ahve a new OC.DC and a new coach and that will change things for better or worst, that has not been seen yet. They also play the bears and one of those two top teams above and if they go 0-2 it will sens a message to the new coaching staff in a bad way, but they are still very good.:2008 record will be 13-3
4.Bears The bears still have the best D in football and you can go along way with a good D in the NFL. They are also the are in the NFC witch is not as strong as the AFC. The saints got shot down and that could make a bigger chase for them being the best team in the NFC. The still have a good running game and a new TE that is Gates matrieal. The will struggle if Rex does not get his act together only if they play upper NFL teams or in the playoffs. As for the rest of the NFL they better wacth out, but the bears do have a harder road this year.:2008 record will be 11-5
5.Saints The siants should do alright this year, because they have the best O game in the NFC, but what do you say after that beat down with the colts. That showed me that there D is still not good enough to go to the big game. They are still good and should win the NFC south, but let me tell you that no team in histry has ever won back to back tittle's in the NFC south. :2008 record will be 11-5
6.Dallas Dallas has a good QB these days and they have TO and a very good O game with a lock down secondary on the D side. They should win the NFC east. :2008 record will be 11-5 and I wish it was 5-11:
7. Denver You want to talk lock down secondary then Denver is your place with Dry Bly and C. Bailey along Lynch. They have great D and they have always produced 1,000 yards in rushing on the O side. They should make they playoffs and I think Jay will be fine as there new QB this year.: 2008 record will be10-6
8.Philly I dont know how they get it done because I hate westbroke as a running back and Mcnugget does not have anybody to throw to, but they still get it done year in and year out. Thats what a good coach and a good D will do for you in the NFL. They dont have the tools to make it all the way, but they looked good in preseason this year. :2008 rcord will be 9-7
9. Cin They should win the AFC north because a good QB a good WR and a good runningback will go along way. There D is still allright and they will pounce on some teams, but they dont have enough to go all the way. The will beat the Ravens maybe and pitt for sure. :2008 record will be 10-6
10. Panthers They were picked to win the big game last year and they have picked up 4 first round talent guys in this years draft. The problem last year was that our line stuck and our running game stuck and our D was still 7th in the NFL with Morgan out. The line has changed for the better with a new zone blocking scheme that fits Foster and Dwill. They got a first round talent in Jarret as a WR and we got a answer for Jake throwing INT and hid name is Carr. We will be better on the O side. The D side we still have the best font four in the NFL hands down. We also picked a first round talent DE in C. Johnson. If Morgan stays alive then we will have the best and fastest LB core in the game. Davis was first round pick and is very fast, Morgan a probwler and quick aswell, but here is the kicker we got Beason in the first this year and he is a stud and also fast. We should have the best running D in football, better than the bears or anybody. We still have one of the best CB's aswell for they have lead the NFC in INT's in 2004,2005 and both had okay years last year. The only weak part of they D is our safties because Minter retired and we never had a FS. We should be fine with good LB's and a good front four to put preassure on the QB, but it still is a hole. We traded for a guy named Harris from the Jags and he had 80 tackles and was a solid starter and we traded to get Maneul and he had 80 tackles last year as well he was just a producted of a over crowded secondary. They are still unproven for the Panthers though. We have a very weak schedule this year and should end up with a nice record, plus the fact teams usally do well with a good D and they have a good D.
:2008 record will be 10-6

I am not a pokie man but I am a poker man!

Anyways There is not alot to talk about with my Cards stinking up the place and theNFl has not started yet so I will talk briefly about playing poker. Hey us old men have to have something to do. My bones hurt and I need to be competive so what sport do I do? The best answer is the sport that you have to sit down and play. I love playing NL hold'm because it is a thinking game and I do get competive when I play. Yes cards is all luck but in this game you have the element of a bluff. The guy next to you could have a 2,3 off suite and yoou would have a j,k and he would bluff you out of the pot unless you knew what you were doing. The best tatics I have found in playing poker is to be somewhat tight with your money but at the same time you have to paint a pitcher. You have to let everybody at the table know that you have some nutz or they will bully you around. My first thing I do is to see what type of player they are. If they are a fast player which bets alot you want to try to trap them in a slow play move. If the guy's are slow players you want to bully them around and pick up some blinds. Hey any money is a plus in this game so stealing blinds is good. Your chances are alot better when people get out anyway. You really would like to be playing one on one for the odds to be right. I know when i played in Atlantic City they bet big and they big alot. The second thing you need to do besides taking notes on each player is to bet good cards when you have good postion at the table. The best psotion at the table is dealer because he will see what everyone does before he gets to act. If you play smart most of the time unless you play a pro you have a good chance of winning. This will fill up some space on here and that is the big bird poker tip of the day. Hey I can not tell you everything I know. Golf dude if you read this look under the last two posts.

Dont worry about big head Bonds!

He will break the HR record that is for sure but he can not last another season. He has a Melon head from all those drugs he is soposed to be taken. Anyways the happy news is ARod will break his record and he is a class act guy that is going to break Bonds HR record playing SS,3rd base. Arod will go down as a top 5 hall of fame guy along Hank,Ruth,Bonds and Mays. I put Bonds in there because in this country we are not guilty untill proven Guilty and he will be the HR king. Witch is the biggest stat in sports according to a espn poll I did the other day. I 100% think he used drugs to make his head swell, but I can not prove it. Anyways the good news is Arod will break the HR record. He is the only person in histry to hit 500 HR and he is only 31. Bonds big bubble head is 44 and declining. Arod may even hit 800 if I do say so myself. He also is batting .311 35 HR 102 RBI's with 10 Sb's this year and still has 64 more games to play. It is barely past the allstar game which is half way threw the season and noone is talking about ARod and he is in Newyork for _ sake. He does get paid alot but how many 50 plus HR a year guy that play SS do you know. Not many and his Career numbers are 499HR , 2,183Runs, 2,183 hits, 251 SB's, 1,450RBI's and a lifetime AVG of .306. That is pretty dam good when most MLB guy dont even hit the big league's untill they hit around 30 because there are stuck in the minor's trying to learn the game. Well the bird has grumbled and its time for everyone else to learn about this hard hitting Yank that will break ol bobble head's record some time in the future. He never gets in to any trouble either and that the last word from the Bird.

Good guy post!

With all this talk of cheating on baseball with Bonds and his big head. We also have the NBA and the mobster crew. But there is one story that needs to be told and it is about what the boster clubs do for baseball and what a coach does behide close doors. There is alot of coruption in high school sports and in little league. This has been going on for some time this is nothing that has not been told already. The parents that give money to the school will play and the ones that dont will not play.

Let me start this story off by telling everyone that jaybird's dad was a very great football coach and he took a team that went 1-10 and took the same team the following year to a bowl game. My point was he was a very good coach. You needed a degree to coach middle school football and at the time the high school baseball coach was coaching them and he wanted jaybirds dad to coach but that was wrong and against the rules because he had no degree. Well jaybirds dad like to help out but did not take any money that they were throwing his way and he also did not support the booster club. He was poor and a great man he did not have the money, but he was about doing the right thing. Well his son jaybird was trying out for them team and I guess that the coach had a grudge vs him because he got cut. Let me give you a little background on jaybird's gifts. He ran a 4.3 and that was very fast, plus that is what a pro WR runs in the NFL. He stole 50 plus bases in 10 games and he done it every year he played baseball. He also batted around .750 and he could drive the ball very hard. Every kid he grew up with new he was very good and he proved it time after time.He made allstars every year but one and was very good at any sport. Well he still got cut because of some grudge the coach had and it was because his parents did not suport bosters.
Thats okay though let me add round two because there is always someone out there better at a sport than you are. Well that person happen to be the birds best friend and he was a big fellow around 6'6 and strong as a ox. The bird admits he was great at football and basketball but golfdude was the man in baseball and basketball. He could pitch and humm that sucker across the plate like ol Nolan Ryan. I have seen him at batting pratice and in games just hammer the ball over the fence. He used to hit HR's vs an ol time pitcher that used to pitch for the bluejays. He was the most gifted person in the whole town and maybe the whole state. He was that good and the coaches use to kiss his butt and let him get away with murder, so to speak just so he would play. Jaybird just loved the game and just loved sports and thats all he wanted to do and it hurt him when polotics got envolved. Thats okay because ol golf dude told them they can stick it where the sun dont shine. He said if you cut the bird then I will not play for you. That hurt them big time and golf dude did that for the bird and the bird will never forget it. It is a shamed that money and fools dictate people's future, because jaybird would have went to college and so would have golf dude to play sports ,and they left a bad taste in people's mouth for that. Maybe one day things will be by the book and people will do the right thing. Untill then this bird will grumble and hope people here it and here it loud. So this post was for the good guy like golf dude that fought the bullshit the only way he new how.

Vick says Dog gone!!!

He wishes that them dogs were gone and off his land. I think this has to be the one of the biggest stories since the Pete Rose scandal. This guy is going to be in some deep trouble. His court date is the first day of training camp which is on friday the 26th of July. We will see then who gets the hammer dropped on the their head like a anville. I think I spelled that right..anyway there is soposed to be four guys involved in this scandal and I am sure someone is going to rat on Vick. He is a goner anyways because it was done at his house and the last I checked the owner is always the person liable. I know alot of people around were I am from that do this sort of thing. They have taken a poll and most people in ATL and they think VICK did nothing wrong. I think dog was soposed to be man best friend not a way to bet on money. They get these dogs and breed them to fight and this is done in alot of places around the world behide close doors. I think it is wrong for someone to breed dogs just so they can bet on them to see which one dies first. I know there are bigger issue's in the world, but have some balls man get reel, this is wrong. I am not a PETA guy by anymeans but I am sure they are pissedoff big time. They can find other ways to gamble their money away, like poker. That is besides the point, because if your the face of a MultiBillion dollor org. like the falcons, you are held at a certain accountablity. I know thats not always fair, but just think it if you owned a business and it produced a lot of money and it was media market freindly, then I think you would be on your best behavior. He is the face of the Falcons and a poster child for the NFL and he can not be envolved in BS like this. He can hang with his friends and all, but if they are doing something wrong you have to asked them to leave or your just adding to the fire. I am a panther fan and I hope I dont see his but the 3rd game of the year and thats is the last word from the bird.

why on Yi?

Why in the hell do the bucks have to trade Yi Jianlian the newly drafted PF out of China. Yi's home basketball team says that the bucks have more front court help and Yi would not fit in so Yi want sign with the bucks. If he is coming to the USA and playing ball then he should have to sign with the bucks if he enters the NBA draft, but this is just my thoughts on this. This is one of the draw backs about players coming over here from overseas. This guy is said to be better than Y.Ming and can shoot like Dirk, but I guess we will see later on down the road. I have no clue who will pick up this guy or make a trade for him, but who ever is trying to trade for him will have to deal with China aswell. He really would be a good fit in Charlotte but who wants all that trouble that goes along with him. We could get the deal done for him, but I also heard he will not play for a east coast team because it is to far from China. He has a lot of demands for a guy that has never played against NBA players or any USA squad for that matter. He might be dunking on small ninja looking guys but let him face Shaq daddy and see what he thinks. I have nothing against China and I will say that aslong as there not Muslim I dont care, so its nothing against China. My final thought is if he comes to the USA and plays in the NBA he should play for who ever drafts him just like everyone else, except that puck of a joke named Koby. He did not want to play for a small market team like Charlotte and I dont like that as well.

Blogging for those Bobcats!

Yeah.... The NBA is not like Collge Basketball, but hey you have to go for your home state. I like the cats anyway and MJ seems to be rolling in the right diriction. He is known for his bad draft with K. Brown in Washington, but he just made up for that with this years draft. With the 8th pick the Bobcats picked up Brandon Wright from UNC. I like the pick at first becuse we needed a big guy in the middle to play PF. He then got traded to Goldenstate for Jason Richerson witch was a great move in my thoughts. We needed a go to guy plus that fact we were weak at the SG spot. G. wallace needed some help, so the move really completed our team and put us in the Playoff's next year I think. We now have a run and gun type of team with Felton which runs like a gazel and the fastest player in the NBA at the PG spot. He will pair with J- Rich at the SG spot which averaged over 20 points last year with Goldenstate in the playoffs and got them to the 2nd round. He also is a slasher, dunker and a scoring threat from outside that has been close if not over the 20.0ppg in every year he has played and he is only 26. Those two will pair with G. Wallace and be one of the best backcourts in basketball with a blazing fast uptempo style of play like the suns run. Wallace is the only player in the league to have18.0ppg.2.0stl,2.0blocks per game and he can just plain out fly like Mike.....okay not as good as Mike. The also have Okafor in the middle and he has been solid for every sence he has been in the league and those 4 will be stars at some point in their career's. My last and final point, check them out this year for they may be very, very good!

congrats!! to the bears and colts

The bears were the best team in the nfc all year long and deserve every bit of this big game that is played in two weeks. They have a good coach and a good team to try and win the big one. They have won of the best Defence's I have ever seen my self. The best was the Ravens the year they won the big one. The ravens had a killer D this year too and they remind me of the bears alot. Good D with a unproven O game. I now the bears have proved the have a better O game than people give them credit for. They have a two headed monster running game with some good receiving to go along with them. They have a real chance of winning this year. They will not win though. The bears have not played anybody all year long and the NFC was underacheiving this year, the teams that went for the nfc just di not scare me like the afc. This will hurt the bears in the big game because they face someone that can comeback from a big lead to win the game at any time. The colts,Pats, chargers, are better than the bears and the Pats done beat them this year already. The bears have good D, but you can not make a plan to beat the colts because Manning will change the game on you at the line of scrimage. The best game planning coach in all of football could not plan to beat Manning and the bears will not either. The bears can not touch the colts and if they do get close in the game they have to then worry about a comback. There is none in today game better at comebacks than Manning or Brady and Brady's out.

score: Colts 34 vs Bears 24

I am glad its christmas!

Because the panthers stink and are a underacheivinng team if I ever saw one. I am not goin to talk too much about them because they dont deserve it. The D stinks and we have no O line and that is really enough said. I will just give you the Big Bird Board's top Ten.

1- Chargers LT is the man period and the chargers are the team to beat this year.
2- Colts They are still getting the job done ,but not as good as the chargers.
3-Ravens Those Lb's and that D is just crazy like they have always been.
4- Pats Those Pats have a great coach and a sure fire sytem thats been working for a while now.
5- Bears The bears are a good and deserve to be in the playoffs, but they are not the best team in football and they have not played anybody. They allowed 30 points from the bucs last week and that says alot about their team, but not in a good way.
6- Saints They got more weapons than the middle east. The Texans really sucked in the draft after passing on Bush. This team has a really good O game and should be the team to beat out of the NFC this year.
7-Cowboys They are team USA or was that last decade. Romo and TO = good team.
8-Seahawks There really is no other team that is worthy of a top ten bid. It should be the top 8.
9-Bengals ?
10- Jags ?

Dajahvoodoo!!!!!

You have seen this before right? Its Shaun lasts year leading rusher. From the looks of things on the NFC side the playoff picture is close to the same as last year without the slumping BUCs of course. Seattle was in there last year and they are on top again this year but still not in the top 3 in nfc. The bears were in last year and they are on top aswell. Both of them have a easy ass schedule's and get their butts handed to them in the playoffs most of the time. I believe the bears are the best team in the NFC so far this year for sure. They have the best lock down D around. I predict they will lose vs the Pats this Thanksgiving weekend. I want to see them play a real team and dont use that sorry Giants win for a example. The giants dont know if there coming are going. Know thats 2 of the top three and from this site you can guess who is the 3rd team. Check the right side of the post. The panthers again. They are not better than the bears right now but, they have the tools to beat them in the playoffs. If they play like they did against a power O game like STL and shut them out, what is Seattle or the Bears going to do vs them. The Bears have good D but they dont have a probowl QB and they dont have two of the games best receiving cores, but they do have have better RB's than the panthers. This is going to be a close game this year in the playoffs and I will tell you straight up the NFC tittle game will be the Panthers vs the Bears again. They way I see it the running game dont mean jack in the playoffs with those two power D's going at each other. This game will come down to a feild goal or a last second gaming winning drive. With that said the edge would go to the panthers. Jake is known for his comeback drives and you cant get more clutch than John Kasey kicking the ball. Sorry (bear down). I said it all along if the panthers make the playoffs they are the team to beat, not the bears. The bears are dam good and they could steal one ,but the edge is still the panthers. The panthers have played a tough, tough schedule and should help them down the road unlike the bears. Its like this if you play pro teams the whole year and then you play a team that has played college teams all year, who would you like to win vs each other........enough said
lets move on to the BIG BIRD BOARD!!!
1. chargers-thats right I said it they have a Joe Motanta type qb in Rivers and the D looks great, oh yeah they also have LT.They have beaten some good teams this year and deserve the #1 spot.
2. colts- they still are very good and will always be good with Manning with there qb, but dont look as complete as the chargers. The chargers are blowing teams away and that lose to Dallas said alot were the colts are.
3. bears- they are still very good, but have not impressed me with the wins over the cards,Mia,jets and the giants. We will see how good they are vs the pats witch is there only big game of the year.
4-pats-I have talked about comeback qb's before lets see Brady do his touch vs the bears this weekend.
5-ravens-I got to give it to the guys they are getting it done and its about time to give the real legend D some props.
6-cowboys- I hate them with all my might, but they have the tools to get it done, and the fact that romo beat the colts says it all.
7-Panthers- They still have great D when they show up and if they get there running game going(246 rushing yards last week) they will be tough in the playoofs to stop.
8-jags-They have to be next some how but those reciever's they have stink.
9- KC-With the D coming around and LJ running the shit out of the ball, they will edge out a playoff spot I believe.
10-Seahawks- They have Shaun coming back and Matt coming back they should do just fine vs there college football NFC west divsion.
I know what you guy's are all ready thinking were is those Giants, well I am wondering the same thing. The have more 10 guys out in keys spots and the coach is back to his losing ways it seems like. Everbody have a wonderful thanksgiving and god bless!!!!

  3. chargers

  5. bears

This one for Dad and mom,Gpa !!!

Yeah I gave a shout out to my loving mom and dad on this one and it is well desevered. This sunday will be there 25 wedding Anv. They have been there for me in every way I could think of, and I hope my days with my loving wife are as good as there days were and are now. My dad has done everything in his power to bring me up in this tough world and I have to tell him and everbody else that he is the main man and will always be. My mom has the biggest hart of anyone I have every known and she is my best friend aswell. There is nothing I could not tell her or dad. I have to give her some credit she put up with my (bs) for a long time and my hats off to her. I love both of you very much and may the next 25 years be even better than the first. Lets talk about the biggest STL fan in the whole wide world, my grandpa...aka...gpa. He is the reason I love STL baseball and I hope they will win it this year for him. He is also one of my best friends and I love to hang out with him and jam and my harp or play golf. He gave me a harmonica 5 months ago and I love it and can not get enough of it. He can play anything by ear, he is the main on the harp and a huge sports fan. He calls me and we talk sports on all kinds of sports like college basketball,MLB,and NFL.... etc. He is one of a kind and loved by many and I hope the cards pull this one out for my Gpa. It is 2-1 STL as of today with Suppon pitching in game 4 and I believe this will be the year of the redbird says the jaybird.

Lets move on to the grumbling big bird board!!!!

1. Colts: untill proven other wise they are the team to beat and they play a few hard nose teams.
2. Bears: Speaking of playing hardnose teams, this is why they dropped to #2. They let a rookie Qb with no line score on their powerhouse D and that said something. They also have not played a team with a winning record all year long and the rest of the season they play teams that dont have a winning record.
3.Chargers: they have a future (qb) that will be montanta like and have a hall of fame( rb) that will break records. Oh yeah they also have Gates...enough said.
4.Broncos: there D and running stlye will put them in the playoffs and thats all you need to know.
5. Pats: they have a weak road ahead of them aswell, but they should be in every game with their hall of fame coach and weak divsion.
6. Giants: They play tough teams and they got some weapons to use. Their D is still getting the job done with there age, but what got me is who they have beaten.
7.Panthers: They are going to have a nasty win loss record, but if they can make it in the playoffs they have a team that could go all the way.
8.Saints: I like bush and brees and they are no joke, this team is for real, but if they make it to the playoffs their D is iffy and unproven. They are still not a complete team and they are winning off of emotion. That can only last for so long.
9.ATL: I got to putt someone here, but running QB's dont last long or ever win the big one. I like that D though.
10.Philly: Not sure what to think about this team. They dont have alot of weapons but Mcnabb is the 3rd best Qb in the game.

October fest is here, and a new look in the NFL to cheer!

I just put my NFL rankings up last week, but I saw alot of changes that needed to be done. Last week showed me alot about who is who and what they are going to do.

1. Bears They have a very easy road ahead of them and they are good, should stay 1 or2 all year.

2.Colts The Colts are still the team to beat this year.

3. Chargers Have you seen Merriman play ,the D is on all cylinders.

4. Philly Philly is like a red neck, they gett er' done!! some how

6. ATL They are still a good team and it will show at the end of the year if Vicks running stlye holds up.

7. Broncos Wow what a D and bailey just flexed his guns vs the ravens last game. They will be in it.

8. Seattle Some how they have good run D and their QB is still under rated. Good game next week vs the Rams.

9. Panthers We will see how good they are vs the ravens next week. They are slowing but surly gettin better.

10. Jags What can I say they got some weapons on the O side and have a lock down D.

Yes that leaves out the Stl, Saints, Cowboys, Pitt, Ravens, Giants and they all have something to prove next week.

Top 10 on the D

1. Bears
2. Colts
3. Ravens
4. Broncos
5. Chargers
6. Philly
7. Jags
8.ATL
9. Pitt
10 Panthers

Top 10 on O

1. Colts
2. Chargers
3. STL
4. Panthers
5. ATL
6. Seattle
7. Giants
8.NO
9. Dallas
10. Jags

Who's the big dog so far!!!!

I will rate the top ten teams thats I believe will be at the end and fighting for the big one.

1. Indy : This team has one of the best coaches in the NFL called Manning. You can not plan for him you just have to out play them. Thats why they are hard to beat every year. He has good D and weapons to use and have won more games than anyone in the regular season.

2. Bears: Thats right I said it!! This team beside maybe the panthers and Ravens have a D so solid that a TD might get you a victory in the past maybe. They have Grossman and he does what they have missed on the O side, he manages games. They also have a great O line with great running backs to use and thats what they missed last year which is O. This is close to a complete team and will be in the playoff's for sure.

3. Ravens: They look as good as any team and they are 4-0 so far. The D is like there D has been when they won the super bowl and thats scary. Mcnair has brought life to this team and they seem to have a new way of doing things on the O side. What ever mojo they got going they need to keep doing it, because this team is for real.

4. Cinn: They have okay D and more weapons than the U.S.S.R. I cant see a reason to put anyone else here at this point.

5. Dallas: Hey I dont like them aswell, but they have allowed 48 points so far and thats pretty low. They have a good coach and T.O. and they are pretty complete with Jones running the ball and a solid O line. I like them better than Philly this year.

6. ATL: If Vick can do what he did vs the panthers they will be hard to stop. They have maybe the second best front four in the game and if Vick hooks up with crumpler all year they should be in the playoff's.

7. Philly: I dont know how they get it done, because I see alot of holes on the O side, and I am not a fan of Westbrook running the ball. They do however get the job done most of the time with Mcnabb and company.

8. Pats: They should be atleast number 2 or 4 on this board, but I dont think they have alot of weapons on the O side. I like there young RB, but he is a rookie. They still have Brady witch is the second best QB in the game and a very good head coach. I will atleast put them at #8 on this board but they should move up fast if they win a few more times.

9. Panthers: There not going to have a good record anyways, but this is a very scary team when clicking on all cylinders. Smith is the best WR in the game as of last year and The D has the best front four in the game in rucker, pepppers, kemo, jenkins and lewis. They have K Johnson and he should take some pressure off of Jake. If they make it to the playoff's whatch out and let it be known you heard it from the grumbling bird him self.

10. Jaguars: They have a star QB and some okay receivers and they should do some damage this year. They also have a aggresive D that likes to get alot of sacks and int's. They might be around playoff time if they stay in tune. Their divsion sucks ,so they should win it out right.

Lets rate the top teams on the D side and the top teams on the O side now!

D side:

1. Bears
2. Ravens
3. Indy
4. Dallas
5. Jags
6.Panthers
7. ATL
8. Pitt
9.Philly
10. Pats

O side:

1. Indy
2. Cin
3.CHARGERS
4. Panthers
5. Dallas
6. ATL
7.SEATTLE
8.stl
9.Washington
10. pats

On a final note the chargers should be around 11 on D or so and as far the top ten O side thats was really hard to judge. I think with all the weapons the panthers have they should be #4 on the list. The panthers passing game is right up there and a little better than the cowboys and Atl. I think at the end of the year the top four teams will be Indy,Ravens,Panthers and bears. I belive the bears will take out Dallas and the panthers should beat seattle this year. I think the panthers will match the D if they play the bears, but like last year our O is way better than the bears and it will show. In the AfC I like Indy beating the Pats finally, and the Ravens shutting down Cin. to make it vs the Colts in the AFC tittle game. The colts will win because you cant prepare for manning and it will show this year aswell. The colts will face the panthers in the superbowl and Smith is going to eat up the colts. I think the score will be 28 vs 24 the panthers to win it all. If the panthers some how make it to the playoff's that team is built for the playoff's and their hard shedule will help them beat the colts.

panther pride!!

I still think the panthers should win the superbowl this year if they make the playoff's. The panthers were picked by alot of sports writer's in the beginning of the season to win it all. They have lost the first two games of the season and I still think they can win the big one. They were picked at the beginning of the season ,because they have a complete team. They are overall complete at every postion. They thought they would win mainly because we have good D and and some weapons to use on the O side. We started out 0-2 and our LT was out for the season and Steve Smith was also injured with his hammy problem. I still think we are going to win it all because we have a hard nose shcedule ahead of us. I believe our record will stink this year with all our hard games ahead of us. The panthers remind me of the Pitt team that won it all last season. The Pitt team had a very hard scedule and made it into a wild card spot last year and went all the way. I believe they went all the way because of the fact that they played everybody and there bothers last year, they faced every tough team in the regular season and when they got in the playoff's they kind have allready seen and faced every thing from alot of good teams. I believe the panthers will do the same thing this year. I dont care what anybody has to say about the panthers they are in the toughest divsion in the league. The saints are 3-0 at this point with ATL doing there thing and we have the defending NFC south winner at the bottem. The panthers also play the hardest divison in the AFC. They play the Bengals,Ravens, browns and the defending superbowl champs the steelers. The panthers have a beast of a schedule and if they make it threw the gaunlet, they have the team that can win it all. They lost last year in the playoffs because Seattle ran all over them and were just out gunned. This year is not like last year, we brought in Kemo a big DT from the Raven and revamped our D line and our O line by bringing in Justin Hartwig at center. They wont run all over us this year, thats for sure. We also brought in K. Johnson to go aside Smith and that was much needed. Last year in the playoff's smith was not double team, not trippled team but he had 4 guys covering his butt, and no one else to throw too on the other side. We started out slow this season, but it has been that way since coach Fox has gotten here. Fox always starts out slow and then we get better as the season goes along. I will tell you why Fox starts slow and why he is one of the best coaches in football. He learns and he adapts to his envriment. If something is not working ,he does his homework and prepares like non other. I will give you a qiuck example of this. This monday night the Siants beat ATL 23-3. I know were better than the saints but we lost 26-3 in home opener game vs the falcons. The saints did there homework and found away to stop vick. They adapted and overcame vick and company. Fox gets better because he can plan the games better when he see's what needs to be fixed. You cant do that with the first game of the season. The second games we beat ourselfs and just about lost the 3rd game. We will get better as the season goes on. The panthers have to play NO,browns,Ravens in the next 3 games. We must win all 3 of those games, and if we do we have a good chance of making the playoff's. That would put us at 4-2 going into the heart of the brutal schedule. We then will face STL,CIN,PITT,ATL,BUCS,NO,Giants,Dallas,Redskins,Philly and not in that order. That is a dog fight of a shcedule and if we get past that there is only one team out there thats not a power house that we have not faced and that is INDY and we should see them in the superbowl if we make it that far. We should go around 9-7or 10-6 this year and if Smith stays healthy we will be the team to beat this year. He is the best WR in the game as of last year and will be hard for anyone to stop.

The bell has wrung!!!

I just got into stockcar racing and my very good friend Matt Bell is racing go carts this weekend and he has done pretty well for his self. He is getting married soon as has a new house to live in. Ole Matt is doing pretty well and I am very glad for him. I think he has found his way because he is kicking major but in the go cart feild. He races in light stock and heavy stock I believe. They have points just like the real guys do and most of the big boys that race every sunday has started out in the the same boat as Bell. He is first in light stock and and 2nd in medium or heavy stock I am not sure. Either way he is kicking the pants off of the other drivers. Matt Bell is true sports guy like my self, and I admire his passion of sports. Like my self he has the edge to win race's because he is so detremined to win and be better. I played football and baseball with Matt and he was great in all of those sports. He was under sized at just about all sports but he still held his own and did pretty good at most sports. He has taking this way of thinking and put this on the track, and he has smoked everyone because he cant be beat and he wont be beat. The one thing I have learned about Bell was that he grew up around moter's and fixing them up, so he has great knowledge of moters. You take someone with great Knowledge of a certain thing and add a sports freek like bell to the mix, then you have your hands full my friend and I think the people in the racing feild are starting understand that now aswell. Good luck Matt in you chase for money!! The bell has finaly wrung and everybody at the track has heard it!!!!

I have" heard "enough

Every since espn radio has taken krunchtime off the air and made a new show which is called drive time, I been having to listen to the "heard" on the 10' o'clock show because drivetime moved to 4:00pm. Drivetime is alright, but it is not close to what Krunchtime was, but the "heard" is on at 10am and there is nothing else on the radio, so I listen everyday to this punk. He is so one sided and close minded it makes me sick. He was swearing up and down that he is not closeminded he just has standards. He had a lot of people calling him today and telling him that he was close minded, and I know it got to him because so many people were calling and he said he was not closeminded on the air about twenty minutes later,so it was still on his mind. He tries to debate the Yankees all the time about how good they are. He is the biggest yankee homer,I thought pro's were to be not onesided. Most pro's on the radio air like Mike and Mike or Dan does not have a one sided view on things, they chang it up. Colon keeps going on and on about the same topic over and over again. You cant talk to the guy because when you do make since and back it up , Colon will start saying funny voices and then he starts talking louder. He talks about standards all the time, but then he goes on acts like a child would with his not so funny jokes. The other guys I listen to will touch on other topics in other sports, but not the"terd" no,all he talks is college football and those dam Yankees. The yanks they deserve credit on some things, but since a lot of people listen to espn's show (the Heard)then at least talk about another team or sport. That is also another example of his close minded self. I liked Tony Cornheiser he was the man, he told it like it was and was not a loud mouth one sided, close minded, hypocritical, homer, dumb, repetitive fool that's speak on espn. I wish he could read this on air and I could call up and talk with this jerk, I would tell him like it really is.

grumbling gripes from the nest!!

I hope someone from ESPN reads this because thier site sucks a big one. I hate thier site so bad, I cant stand it. They do have good fantsy baseball I will give you that much. Let me ask you this were do you go to get your sports info at? It can't be at ESPN thats for sure! They are the biggest bunch of crap I have ever seen. They call ther self the world wide leader in sports. So you then click on a article to read, and what do you find, that dam ESPN insider that you have to pay for every month. I dont know about you, but I am not paying for that piece of dung when it will take me two more seconds to go to another site and get the same info that they have. They get thier stuff, some of that stuff from the local papers, like Charlotte observer,NY times. All you have to do is put those sites on your fav's and just click on them to look at them, then you have your own insider info for free. They have the same info that ESPN Insider has. If I want input I sure as hell dont click on ESPN's site. I like the show's on TV, but paying for inside scoops, which can be on any sports site these days is just unreal and bullshit. I go to Cbs sportsline or fox sports for info atleast I dont have to pay for info. Its not like its life or death and they are trying to sell good info that nobody else has. Come on everybody has most of all the same info Insider has. So why pay for that piece of crap of a web site.

birds news on those broke back cards

King Albert out and everybody is crying for a extra abat in the lineup. We did not make any kind of splash this offseason, not evan with Jaun E. at left feild. We have bigger problems next year in that we will lose Mulder, Jason, Suppon,Ponson, Edmonds maybe. Thats too much cash to give out for the low budget cards. Hey I am a tight wad aswell and I like saving money too. Walt has done a great job so far he always pulls a rabbit out of his hat at the end of the year. I really think we will trade one of our pitcher's. Know the signing Edmonds back I dont now about. I would love to sign him for a deal, but not a big one. I think he will be a life time cardinal and sign for 3 more years. He is only 34 and player's can produce at that age. He wont be the 40 homer edmonds, but he can hit 25 or more every year, plus he is a lefty thats plays CF and he has a crap load of gold gloves. This is why he should get about half of what he is getting paid now or less for a contract about the 3 or more years. What about Rolen this guy is producing some much needed power for this team. Juan E has done better and I think he will put up Reggie Sanders numbers. Duncan is going to be a power threat in the future, I hope we keep this young kid. Reyes and Waignwright should be in the rotation next year and our rotation next year should be fine if we have a liget #2 starter in the rotation to go behide Carp. Jeff M has 8 wins this already I hope we sign him back for a reasonable amount of money. He would be a great #3 starter I believe. What about C.Wilson from PiTT? This would be pretty good trade if we dont trade Reyes, Wainwright. He is 29 and really still unproven so we should not have to pay that much for him in a trade. I think he has great upside if he played more. Maybe the cards will be fine this year, I sure hope so. I believe they will go to the playoff's with this club, but they wont win it all without some more help.

nothing could be finer than to be a sports team in CAROLINA

As of today the canes of Carolina have a great chance of winning the cup in hockey. I know the yankees up north are hating the fact that a redneck team from down south is kicking thier ass. Thier hockey is what basketball is to Carolina. Just think if we win the cup and the panthers win the superbowl in the same year, that would be huge for our state. O yeah and the year before UNC won a tittle aswell. I have been to 4 countries and a lot of places for my age, and the best state is North Carolina in my thoughts. We have MJ and to make a long story short we have more that 100 great pro's that have played college here or was born here. There is no other state better than us in basketball period. We have UNC,State,WF and Duke. I like the bobcats aswell to do good in the future with there young core in Okafor,May, Felton,Wallace and they have the 3 pick in the NBA draft coming up. This is a team on the rise I assure you. We also just got the nacecar hall of fame here to make things a little better. We also rule in nacecar as it started here in the back woods of Carolina. This sport is up and coming and has more fan base than any other sport on record in the US of course. Lets refresh what I am talking about, so basically we are the Best in Basketball and Nacecar hands down compared to the rest of the country. We also are very close in football and really the only sport left to talk about is baseball, but I will take 2 out of 5 in all major sports, and 3 out of5 this year. I am not going to list all the guys that have came out of the state of Carolina, but if you have time look up the numbers and I bet you will be surprised at the amount of people that were born and have gone of to do great things not including sports. Evan the small town of Wilmington NC has a sports hall of fame with the guys we have had in the past, including MJ. All I am trying to say is nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina. Oh yeah James Taylor is from Carolina aswell!lol
